English/Ingles-
Karla Christina is an American singer-songwriter born in Glendale, California, to a Colombian mother and Costa Rican father. Raised in Carson City, Nevada, she grew up between two cultures and two languages, developing an early love for romantic music in both English and Spanish. Her passion for performance began at just three years old, staging nightly “shows” for her family using flashlights as makeshift stage lights.
With a voice that is warm, nostalgic, and commanding, Karla Christina blends classic Latin influences with a modern emotional sensibility. Her artistry is marked by rich vocal depth, and cinematic storytelling.
At age 11, she made her debut at a major public event, beginning a musical journey that later led her to become the lead vocalist of a Latin band, sharing the stage with artists such as Diego Verdaguer and Amanda Miguel. At 12, she won first place in a children’s singing competition on the international television program Sábado Gigante, and by her teenage years had already recorded her first original album.
Most recently, Karla opened for comedian George Lopez across California, Nevada, and Texas including a performance at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
The release of her new EP, "Aquí" Karla Christina reintroduces herself through an intimate six-song collection inspired by classic romance, storytelling, and the timeless spirit of the bolero. Blending nostalgia, vulnerability, and vintage sophistication, she continues to craft a sound that bridges generations and cultures.
