She grew up speaking both English and Spanish and therefore loves singing a variety of genres in both languages. Karla Christina began showing an interest and passion for performing at a very young age. At age three she began performing nightly shows for her family and asked the audience, her family to wave flashlights to resemble a big stage performance.
Karla Christina has a rich and powerful vocal range which spans three full octaves, from a low C3 to a high C6. She delivers a lot of emotion in her performances, and her unique vocal technique combines a powerful belt, low register, and controlled vibrato.
In 1995, at eleven years old, Karla Christina performed at her first large public community event. Her dream of performing on a stage with lights and special effects had come true. This performance led Karla Christina to become the lead singer in a Latin band that performed at many local events and festivals. She later had the opportunity to share a venue with Diego Verdaguer and Amanda Miguel when she was 12. That same year, another one of her dreams came true when she performed on the internationally televised variety show, “Sabado Gigante,” where she participated in a children’s singing competition and won first place. By the time she was in middle school, she recorded her first original album.
Karla Christina continues to pursue her dream and most recently had the opportunity along with her band to open for comedian George Lopez, for shows in Northern and Southern California which culminated in the opportunity to perform at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Karla Christina continues to perform at the comedian's shows whenever possible.
She is an artist that lives and breathes music, and continues to share her passion, talent and unique vocal style with the world. Karla Christina hopes to win the hearts of music fans with her music which can be found on all streaming platforms.
